Iron Chef /Children’s Relief NurseryDeeply rooted in Northwestern Mutual’s tradition of “doing the right thing” is a commitment to serving the community at large. While the Pawlowski Financial Group carries out this tradition in many ways, our signature event is support of the Portland Iron Chef competition. Each year a handful of the West Coast’s best chefs gather in Portland to go cleaver-to-cleaver in culinary battle. The funds raised benefit the Portland Children’s Relief Nursery. As the event’s headline sponsor, the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network confirms the importance of successful corporations taking an active role in the community. Pawlowski Financial Group members contribute their time, energy and talent, organizing tables, soliciting items for the silent auction and generally supporting this worthy cause. Throughout the year we continue to donate time and money to the Children’s Relief Nursery, which provides early intervention, rehabilitation and support services to children from birth through age three who are at high risk of abuse or neglect. CRN also helps parents learn that fostering and reinforcing positive interactions with a baby greatly affect that child’s later capacity for compassion, emotional control, ability to learn and behavior. Pawlowski Financial Group’s Financial Representatives also donate their time and resources to a number of other charities and organizations, including the YMCA and the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
